Blatant Theft and Vintage Hilarity

I'm running on less than three hours of sleep today. Graveyard shift coupled with small unrestful child makes for poor bloggery.

I shall, therefore, without further ado, bid my own originality adieu and steal directly from Franklin's blog, because I'm sort of a tit like that. In fact, I'm stealing from his COMMENTS -- how lame is that? This, from birdfarm over at MadTeach, is one of the funniest sites I've seen in a while.

Better blogging when I've had more sleep. For now, I leave you with this ...

Ingeborg smiled to herself. Oh yes, she was "ready to rumble", indeed.

Comments:
What is it that makes people think things like that are worth knitting? Although I would love to find one in a thrift shop so I could have tons of yarn to play with. LOL.
You can find good in anything.
:)

ok, don't shoot me, but the worst thing about that "thing" is the color scheme. it might be better in neutrals. WHAT AM I SAYING?!?!?!?!?!? in addition to such drollery, i thought you said buggery, not bloggery. where is my mind?

Hold me back before I hafta knitthat!

Have you checked out the classic "Classic Elite" patterns for sale at elann? No, not to buy, to giggle over!

Oh, I've stolen many of my best laughs from Birdfarm ever since college. You can't help it, she's that funny.

I can't figure out that picture at all, in the sense that I can't tell how/when/why a person would wear it.

Knitwear designers must get very bored sometimes.

Too funny!
I knit that exact sweater coat in fall colors (rust, chocolate and a sort of bannana-beige). I didn't knit the hat. I knit it about 20-25 years ago when I was in college.

I loved! It fit over everything-- which was saying something back when shoulder pads ballooned and tops were worn belted over stirrup like pants!

I am not making this up.

The hat frightens me.
