Gone Fishin'

OK, all I seem to be able to do these days is whine, so I'm going to shut up until I have something interesting or fibery to say.

I may be back tomorrow, and lots of wool has been dyed so I could show you that I spoze.

I want to eat this, but they won't let me. And, of course, you know, the hospital bills and all ...

Shut Up Some More

This is another one in the "Parrot" theme I'm going for these days. Apparently this photo isn't as good as I thought. Which is fine, because things often aren't, really.

So that's it. I'm going to shut up until I have something to say that doesn't make me either a) seem pathetic or b) make me want to slap myself.

And now I'm going to nap before my last night at work for another nine days! Yes, I'm on vacation next week. Gonna whack the weeds (no, not a euphemism, the yard is disgusting) and clean out the guest room and put some donated carpet pieces in my studio.

The excitement never ends ...

hey, rabbitch -- congrats on having the same kind of vac i'm just wrapping up -- only mine is/was 16 days long, since i work 4/10s. i feel really productive -- i've got 3 boxes of books sorted out to sell, plus a laundry basket of kid-stuff from my grand for the resale shop, and 14 -- count em, 14 -- printer-paper boxes of goodies for the women's shelter thrift shop.

i did, however, manage two "road trips" -- to friends' knitting group about 15 miles away.

i suggest giving yourself a couple of treats like that to break the monotony and keep you motivated.

If you "whack the weeds" make sure that someone "trims the bushes" in return, ok? You deserve some excitement after the week you've had.

Oh Mouse! That was way too clever and cute!

I've got Wed-Fri off next week myself and am greatly looking for it. I have plans to clean up my fiber room, but the weather man is threatening triple digit heat, and without a/c I don't know how much yarn will actually be organized.

Ohhhh that Parrot color way is yummy! Congrats on your time off..seems it 'tis the season to take care of the guest room/supplemental yarn room..that is my chore for this weekend..hot or not..guests coming...the best modivator for my cleaning!

The yarns are bee-yoo-tee-full! I wants me some of that turquoise/lilac/gold mix...

Laughing my ass off (if only that were true) at Mouse's comment :)

Gorgeous yarn; but then, what else would it be coming from you?
